Release Note - Radioplayer v.8.1.5 build 24 - 26/02/2025

Description

We are constantly improving the Radioplayer listening experience.

Improvements

• Long press support: long press is now available on all devices, allowing focus on the player without having to scroll the entire grid.

• Debouncing on the onEnter: Debouncing on the Station onEnter event has been introduced. Now, if the user holds down the OK button, play/stop/pause actions are only performed once, avoiding crashes caused by multiple inputs.

• Throttle in navigation: a slight throttle of 100ms has been added when navigating elements. This improves the user experience by preventing rapid scrolling through the carousel without visually perceiving the completion of navigation.

• Optimised station and podcast management: all stations and podcasts are now retrieved from the global list already loaded, avoiding unnecessary calls to the backend and ensuring greater visual consistency of data.

• Thumbnail management: if 128x128 images are not available for radios, 600x600 images are now used as fallback, improving display in the absence of lighter resources.

• Improved resolution support: The app now fully supports all 16:9 resolutions, including those beyond 1080p and 720p, such as 4K, 8K, and potentially higher.

• Fixed last songs thumbnails on the station page: Previously, thumbnails were retrieved using the SongArtURL field, which was suddenly removed by the backend without notice. The implementation has been updated to use the ImageURL field instead.

Bug fixed

• Fixed an issue for retrieve Podcast in France.

• Fixed an issues related the Long Press from RC.

• Fixed an issue related Recently Played after a country reset while in a group.

• Fixed an issue related the Search of the title of the Song.

• Fixed an issue related Recently Played order.

• Fixed an issue related My Station tracks that were lost after disconnection from a group.

• Fixed an issue related Latest Song raild in the Station Page not being update.
