Guide for users of the previous Station Control Panel

You will find that most of the terms used in Radioplayer Cloud match the ones used in the previous Station Control Panel, however there are some changes and new additions that you need to be aware of.

New features

Station overview: When logging into your Radioplayer Cloud account, you will be presented with the 'Station Overview' which shows you the number of stations linked to your account, the total number of listeners and the total hours listened for your stations.

Search for stations: If you have many stations, you can filter the list and search for specific stations on the “Manage Stations“ page which you can access by clicking on the “View all my stations“ button at the bottom of the page.

Edit account information: Under “My Account“, you can now edit your information in “Account Preferences“. Here you can edit your name and enable notifications for the account. You can also generate an API key for your stations to enable you to send us metadata.

Manage podcasts: By clicking on “Podcasts“, located under “Station Management“, you can now manage your podcasts.

Stream target and country restrictions: When adding a stream to your station profile you can now specify where that stream is used. You can also block your stream from being available in certain countries using the “country restrictions“ feature.

Changes

New station IDs: In the previous station control panel the country specific station ID (located to the left of the station name in the station list) did not include the country code. In Radioplayer Cloud, the station ID is now located under the station name and includes the 3 digit country code as well as the station ID number.

New terminology in the station profile:

  • ‘Short description' is now 'strap line’

  • ‘Long description' is now 'full description’

  • ‘Images' is now 'branding’

  • ‘Station data' is now 2 separate sections labelled ‘location’ and 'settings’
